An event titled ‘Roadshow and Branding Bangladesh’ has been organized by Bangladesh High Commission Kuala Lumpur on 27 June 2019 at the ballroom of Weil Hotel, Ipoh in the state of Perak. Chairman of Investment, Industrial and Regional Development Committee, State Government of Perak Dato’ Seri Ir. Haji Mohammad Nizar Bin Jamaluddin graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. H.E. the High Commissioner of Bangladesh Mr. Md. Shahidul Islam chaired the event.

A total of 150 business leaders mainly from Perak Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCCI), Perak Malay Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Perak Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) took part in the event.

The program started with an opening speech of the President of Perak Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCCI). At the speech Trade Minister of the State Government of Perak highly appreciates the development initiatives made by Bangladesh under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

H.E. Md. Shahidul Islam, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia presented a paper on “Bangladesh Welcomes Investors and Businesspersons of Perak in Malaysia” where he particularly highlighted trade and investment opportunities of Bangladesh to the Malaysian businessmen. The event ended up with a working lunch.
